Maybe Tomorrow is part of the Whispers of Tomorrow collection.

This work is built through broad, layered marks, with softer blue and green passages interrupted by areas of violet, pink, orange and darker colour. The composition moves between quieter areas and more concentrated clusters of marks, with earlier layers remaining visible throughout the surface.

There is more openness in this painting than in some of the other works from this period. Marks were allowed to sit separately rather than continually being covered or resolved, creating space within an otherwise energetic composition.

Whispers of Tomorrow is a body of work where instinctive mark-making became increasingly important in my practice. Built through layered gestures, changing colour and repeated revision, the paintings hold visible traces of the decisions that shaped them.
